The old oil burner was also removed and replaced with a natural gas line for greater efficiency. The primary heating is natural gas ( a new boiler system was designed and installed) with three zones including a combination of forced hot air and radiant heating. The first floor dining, living and kitchen areas and the upstairs master suite are forced hot air and there is radiant heat in the lower level and the master bath. Baseboard heat remains in the 4 existing bedrooms and the two additional bathrooms. Upstairs, the two family area bathrooms were gutted and reframed to make better use of the space. All new tile and plumbing with Kohler and Grohe fixtures as well as the new baseboards. The existing hardwood floors in the hallway and 4 bedrooms were sanded, re-stained and sealed. Interior doors and hardware were replaced. The fabulous master suite brings this house up to current standards by adding a master bathroom with two sinks and two large walk in closets.
